Since 1970, Empire Realty's owner and President, Larry E. Lichte, has developed numerous residential subdivisions in Dane County, specializing in developments located in wooded and hilly terrain. Since 1993, Larry's son Paul has been involved in the creation of these subdivisions, bringing to the process his training in Land Use Planning and Landscape Architecture. Together, they provide builders and buyers with settings that produce beautiful and unique homesites.
For the past few years, Larry and Paul have used their experience and training in the careful development of environmentally sound home and cabin sites on the lakeshores and in the majestic forests of Wisconsin's beautiful northwoods.
Unlike some developers, they do not try to maximize the number of lots in
their developments. By greatly surpassing State and local restrictions as
to minimum lot size and minimum shoreline footage, the resulting developments offer building sites with considerable privacy, a preservation
of woodland and shoreline aesthetics, and a reduction in the amount of potential
lake activity.
Specializing in developments that encompass entire lakes, and establishing
covenants that invoke a respect for the environment, Larry and Paul have created
lakefront communities that provide seclusion, protection of the lake ecosystem,
and preservation of Northern Wisconsin's natural beauty.
